Rana Raddawi

Faculty member, MENA Languages Program, Northwestern University, USA

Dr. Raddawi holds a PhD in Translation Studies from Sorbonne Paris 3 in France. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience in the Middle East and the West.Dr. Raddawi masters 5 languages: English, Arabic , French, Portuguese and French. She is a faculty member at Northwestern University in the MENA Languages Program. She teaches Arabic, Translation and Intercultural Communication. She is currently leading a two year project at the Buffett Institute for Global Affairs at Northwestern on Gender Equality in the Language Curricula. She is also working with Sorbonne Paris 3 faculty and students in an International Classroom Partnership through a translation course in both universities. She is the editor of the book Intercultural Communication with Arabs. She has many publications in international journals in her field of expertise: Critical Pedagogy, Arabic Pedagogy, Translation, and Cross Cultural Communication.She was awarded the Student Governance/Faculty Honor Roll every year since she started working at NU four years ago.
