Dina Wahba

Postdoctoral fellow, University of Salzburg, Austria

Dina Wahba is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the unit of Public Sphere and Inequalities at the Communication Science Department, University of Salzburg, Austria. Dr. Wahba received her PhD from Freie Universität, Berlin. She is a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship, she completed her M.A. degree in Gender Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Her published M.A. thesis is entitled "Gendering the Egyptian Revolution". Dina Wahba received her B.A. in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She is a feminist scholar who worked with several local, regional, and international organizations such as UN Women and International Rescue Committee. She worked on several gender issues in the Middle East and among Arab diaspora in Europe such as sexual and gender-based violence, feminist leadership, and women´s political participation.
