Maritza Trejo is the Regional Education Director for Glasswing International, an innovative non-profit based in El Salvador that works to address the root causes of violence, poverty and irregular migration in Central America. Maritza has over ten years of experience designing and implementing education and development programs for vulnerable and at-risk women, children and youth in Central America and the US. In her current role, she oversee the design, planning, and implementation of Glasswing´s school-based, volunteer-led after-school programs and other violence prevention initiatives in Central America, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Ms. Trejo has a BA in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's in Education Policy and Evaluation from the University Jose Simeon Cañas (UCA) in El Salvador.
