Mac Andre Arboleda is an independent artist, Founding President of the UP Internet Freedom Network, Project Lead of the Artists for Digital Rights Network, and member of publishing collective Magpies Press. Mac completed artist residencies supported by Asia-Europe Foundation, ASEAN Foundation, and Japan Foundation, Bangkok. He has won awards for his filmmaking, and has been invited to many universities in the Philippines to talk about art and activism, independent publishing, webcomics, writing, blogging, and organizing. He's also held solo exhibitions and group exhibitions for his artworks, which have been shown locally and internationally. Originally based in the Philippines, he graduated with a degree in development communication from the top university in the country and is now taking up master studies in Media Arts Cultures, based between Austria, Denmark, and Poland.
