Devon Simmons

Associate Director of the Paralegal Pathways Initiative, Columbia Law School, United States of America

Devon is Co-Founder and Associate Director of the Paralegal Pathways Initiative at Columbia Law School. The program is designed to hone the skills of former jailhouse lawyers in pursuit of them obtaining employment in the legal field, while simultaneously providing experiential learning to current law students specifically around the effects of mass incarceration. He is a 2019 Soros Justice Fellow, 2017 David Rockefeller Fund Fellow. Devon is the first graduate from John Jay's Prison-to-College Pipeline program and as the International Ambassador for the Incarceration Nations Network has traveled to South Africa, Jamaica, Cuba, and the United Kingdom in an effort to help establish Prison-to-College Pipeline programs internationally.
