Damola Johnson

Chief Operating Officer, African Development University, Niger/Nigeria

Damola serves as chief operating officer at African Development University (A.D.U.), where the core of his responsibilities revolves around three functional areas which are: people, process, and product. He is passionate about raising ethical leaders to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and development in rural and urban communities, as well as empowering emerging leaders and professionals to function at the intersection of passion, purpose, impact, and profit. Over the past ten years, he has worked on social innovation projects in Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America, covering higher education, nonprofit management, youth development, and talent management. This has enabled him to build critical skills and gain valuable experience in contributing to solving society's tough problems, through using tri-sector leadership to drive partnerships for social good. He received a B.A. in mass communication from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria. Damola is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
