Karen Feinstein

Session Chair and President and Chief Executive Officer, Jewish Healthcare Foundation, USA

Dr. Karen Wolk Feinstein is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation and its three operating arms, the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative, Health Careers Futures, and the Women's Health Activist Movement Global. Combined, they perform a mix of grantmaking, research, teaching, and project management to serve as a catalyst for healthcare reforms. Under Dr. Feinstein's leadership, they focus on patient safety, aging, HIV/AIDS, women's health, and teen mental health issues. Dr. Feinstein is a past President of Grantmakers In Health, founder of the Pennsylvania Health Funders Collaborative, and serves on many national and regional boards and committees. She is a founding member of the Women of Impact coalition and a member of the International Women's Forum where she co-founded their Women in Health Care Special Interest Group. Dr. Feinstein earned her bachelor's degree at Brown University, her master's at Boston College, and her doctorate at Brandeis University.
