Moon Choi

Associate Professor, KAIST Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy, South Korea

Moon Choi is an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy at KAIST. She received her Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and completed her two-year postdoctoral training in social epidemiology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Before joining KAIST in 2014, she was an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work and also interned at the United Nations Secretariat Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Her research focuses on aging, social welfare, and technology policy. Dr. Choi has published in the areas of senior transportation and health disparities among older adults and has been expanding her work to quality of life technology (QoLT), gerontechnology, artificial intelligence (AI) and related policies. She founded and currently runs a research group called Aging and Technology Policy Lab. If you would like to learn more about her research group, please visit aging.kaist.ac.kr.
