Leonardo Pinzón is social protection and health specialist for the Inter-American Development Bank in Panama City. He has worked in the design process of the Mesoamerica 2015 Initiative targeting maternal and child health in Mesoamerican countries, specifically in Panama, Guatemala, and Honduras. He has also participated in health projects in Panama and other regional initiatives for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and primary health care system strengthening in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has worked for the Colombian government in the development of policies and adjustments in the social protection and health sector. He is an economics specialist with a major in government and international relations.
