Daniella Ben-Attar

Israel Country Representative, Bernard van Leer Foundation, Israel

Daniella Ben-Attar is the Israel country representative for the Bernard van Leer Foundation. She has over 20 years of experience developing and managing international development programs. Her areas of expertise include youth participation, urban governance, municipal capacity building, city-to-city cooperation, peacebuilding and ICT for development. As part of her current role, she is applying her global experience working at the intersection between children and youth and urban development to implement the foundation's Urban95 strategy in Israel and contribute to its strategic development globally. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked as an independent consultant for the World Bank, UN-HABITAT, United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), corporations and NGOs worldwide. Throughout her career, she has focused on the critical role that young people can play in developing their communities. Ms. Ben-Attar holds a B.A. in government and international relations from Clark University, USA and an M.A. in political science and international relations from Tel-Aviv University.
