Debórah Dwork is the Rose Professor of Holocaust History and director of the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University. As wthe founding director of the Center, she has developed a forum on Holocaust and genocide education and scholarship, dedicated to teaching, research, and public service. Dr. Dwork is a social historian of modern Europe. Her research interests focus on children and childhood and the Holocaust. Her books, translated into many languages, include Children with a Star and Auschwitz, Holocaust: A History, and Flight from the Reich: Jewish Refugees, 1933-1946. Dr. Dwork's most recent work, A Boy in Terezín: The Private Diary of Pavel Weiner is an annotated, edited diary written by boy in Prague during his third and last year in the Terezín transit camp. Dr. Dwork serves on many advisory boards, and works with numerous non-profit organizations and foundations concerned with Holocaust education. She earned a B.A. at Princeton University, an M.P.H. at Yale University, and Ph.D. at University College London. Professor Dwork previously attended the SGS Holocaust education symposia in 2010 and 2012.
