Albert Lichtblau

Professor of History, University of Salzburg, Austria

Albert Lichtblau is the vice-chair of the Centre for Jewish Cultural History and chair of the Department of History at the University of Salzburg, Austria, where he teaches contemporary history. Prior to this appointment, he was a research associate at the Center for Research on anti-Semitism at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany and at the Institute of Jewish History, St. Pölten, Austria. His fields of scholarly expertise are Jewish studies, genocide and migration studies, oral history, and audiovisual history. Albert holds degrees in history and political science from the University of Vienna. Albert is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
