Alexis Stangarone is the director of the Lloyd N. Cutler Center for the Rule of Law. In this position, she leads Salzburg Global's work on international law. She formerly worked as the director, US Public Affairs and as director of the Office of the President. Alexis has over a decade of experience working in the nonprofit sector to help facilitate the connections needed to identify and advance solutions to global challenges. Before joining Salzburg Global in 2018, she was the member services manager at the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI). Prior to that, she organized foreign policy dialogues focused on Asia as a Brent Scowcroft Award Fellow with the Aspen Strategy Group, and worked on the German Marshall Fund's leadership exchange programs. In addition, she has experience teaching English in South Korea. She holds an M.Sc. in international politics from SOAS, University of London, UK, and a B.A. in international studies from Middlebury College, VT, USA.
