Joshua Spector

Joshua Spector is a Silverman-Rodin Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He previously worked at the Pennsylvania Superior Court for the Honorable James J. Fitzgerald, III. There, he was involved in various research projects in matters of criminal and civil law, drafting memoranda on issues including mandatory minimum sentencing, property law, and contract disputes. In 2016, Joshua served as the campaign manager for Nicolas Garcia, a Democratic candidate for the Florida State House of Representatives. Prior to law school, he served as an intern for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington and Senator Robert Casey in his Philadelphia office. Additionally, he worked for over a year with the Anti-Defamation league in New York. There, he developed a program to educate Jewish college and high school students about anti-Semitism and methods of response, and created a paid fellowship for college students to be trained to facilitate the education program on their college campus. Joshua is fluent in Hebrew and has a working knowledge of Arabic, French, and Spanish. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Political Science and modern Middle Eastern studies.
