Charity Meki-Kombe is a Zambian postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Charity has vast experience in implementing and evaluating education programs initiated by local and international agencies in several areas, including early grade literacy, educational assessment, good governance, and corruption. Her professional, academic, and other activities focus on policy and program implementation/sustainability in education and the experiences of international postgraduate students in universities in Southern Africa. In partnership with her mentor, Chaya Herman, Charity was subcontracted by the University of Leeds to conduct an evaluation of the Change Makers Programme, an educational project piloted in Rwanda and South Africa with the main objective of encouraging youth from generations who did not live through the atrocities that impacted both countries to become up standers. The project was initiated at Salzburg Global's 2016 session 564, "Learning from the Past: Promoting Pluralism and Countering Extremism." Charity obtained her Ph.D. in education management law and policy from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
