Samantha Gilbert is the vice president for talent and human resources at the Ford Foundation. She guides human resources strategies and talent management worldwide. Samantha began her career as a social worker in New York City's public schools. She then was the human resources manager at the Jewish Museum in New York and a human resources coordinator for the New York City Department of Health. She spent 10 years at Christie's International, a multinational company with a diverse art business portfolio, where she rose to become senior vice president, global head of human resources. Before joining the Ford Foundation in 2014, Samantha served for seven years as the chief human resources officer at the Rockefeller Foundation. Samantha serves on the board of directors of Cool Culture, a nonprofit organization that works to ensure that New York City's most diverse families and preschool-aged children have access to arts and culture as a way to increase literacy and learning. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Adelphi University and a master's degree in public administration from New York University. She holds a certificate in organizational and executive coaching from New York University
