Haydar is an experienced professional in Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), and has implemented the U.K.'s PREVENT strategy with local governments for over 5 years. In 2022, Haydar was awarded by the Counter Terrorism Police Head Quarters (CTPHQ) for his partnership working and leading research into domestic abuse and radicalisation. Additionally, Haydar is an accredited trainer in domestic abuse and has attained a qualification in 'Responding to High Harm, High Risk Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse'.
Haydar has a keen interest in building the capacity of youth-focused projects and contributing to the multi-disciplinary research into violence and terrorism. Due to his experience, he has frequently been invited to present to U.K. universities, senior government officials and mainstream news outlets.
Haydar attains a post-graduate Master's degree in Terrorism, Security and Society from King's College London and has been a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar since 2016.
