Quang Tung Do is a manager of Yok Don National Park, the 2nd largest Protected Area in Vietnam located in Dak Lak province covering around 1,155 kmĀ². The park shares borders with Mundulkiri Protected Forest (Cambodia) and forms a core part of the Lower Mekong Dry Forest Eco-region, which has been identified by WWF as one of the world's 200 most biologically important eco-regions. This area forms the largest extent of the naturally functioning deciduous forest habitat remaining in Southeast Asia. Mr. Tung has a broad view of protected area management, biodiversity and wildlife conservation, and forest protection. In his daily work, he has developed skills dealing with minority ethnic people, local authorities, and communities. Mr. Tung has 10 years of experience in protected area management and 10 years in CITES enforcement. Before he became the manager of Yok Don National Park in July 2015, he was a director of Vietnam CITES Management Authority. He has a background in economics, natural resource management, and law and he has a master's degree in conservation of species in trade.
