Enni Kallio is a Yale International Fox Fellow, conducting research on the environmental impacts of refugee camps in Greece. Her research seeks to define what the environmental challenges are in refugee camps and how we can overcome these challenges to provide better humanitarian aid. She recently graduated with a master's degree in environmental management from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She conducted her master's research in collaboration with the IUCN Global Economics and Social Science Program, exploring the interactions between human migration and nature conservation. While at Yale, she also worked on the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity reviewing draft versions of the Sustainable Development Goals and providing recommendations on how to better reflect biodiversity and nature conservation in the 2030 Agenda. Ms. Kallio's academic and professional work explores the interactions between people, armed conflict, environment, and sustainable development.
