Calley Anderson

Playwright; formerly Inclusion Manager, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Calley Anderson is an up-and-coming playwright from Memphis, Tennessee. She currently lives in New York City as an M.F.A. candidate in playwriting at The New School - School of Drama. Her plays include Davis Miller (Vereen Bell Memorial Award in Creative Writing/Davidson College) and Carousel (Out of the Closet Festival/Emerald Theatre Company; Vermont Pride Theater). After completing her undergraduate degree, she spent three years in the Memphis non-profit arts sector serving as the programs coordinator for Hattiloo Theatre and the diversity and inclusion manager for the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Both roles provided her with extensive experience in research and development, program management, and quantitative/qualitative presentation. Calley is a graduate of Davidson College, where she received her B.A. in English with a concentration in Film and Media Studies.
