Anthony Pinder

Inaugural Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Internationalization and Global Engagement, Emerson College, USA

Anthony L. Pinder serves as the inaugural assistant vice president of academic affairs for internationalization and global engagement at Emerson College in Boston, MA. In this role, he helps the College determine what it means to be a leading institution in the arts and communication in a global way and is responsible for building on all of the College's international operations, such as Emerson College's European Center at Kasteel Well, The Netherlands; its partnership with the Academy of Performing Arts for Film and Television in the Czech Republic; and partnerships in Austria, China, Greece, and Spain. He provides leadership to Emerson's international student operations, initiatives to internationalize the curriculum and co-curriculum, and education abroad programming. Previously, Anthony served as the charter director of internationalization and as assistant professor of education at Georgia Gwinnett College, USA. He has over 15 years of experience in academic field which also includes him serving as the chief international officer at two historically black colleges and universities. Prior to his academic appointments, Anthony was the national director for minority recruitment with the U.S. Peace Corps in Washington, DC. He holds a B.A. in finance from Morehouse College, an M.A. in international economics and Latin American studies from The Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies, and a Ph.D. in education from Clark Atlanta University, USA.
