My name is Serene Habbal. I'm Syrian but I was born and raised in the states. At the age of 14 I moved back to Syria. After finishing high school I moved to Lebanon for university. I'm studying media and communication in the American University of Beirut. I love my major because it allows me to analyze media content and have a wider understanding of world events. I am very interested in human rights and political issues and that is why I am minoring in Human Rights and Justice. I dream of working with the UN. I want to create awareness campaigns and projects that will help developing countries and I believe that the UN will be the best way to achieve that. I love to travel the world and discover new places. I wish I had more time to read, but university work takes up most of my work.
