Joanna Wright-Serra

Vice President, Board of the Centro Medico ABC, Mexico

Joanna Wright - Serra has twenty-five years experience in institution building, serving on a variety of non-profit boards in health and education in Mexico. She is co-founder of the Juconi Foundation and a community preschool day care center, two organizations working to support vulnerable children and their families. She currently serves as vice president of the Board of the Centro Medico ABC, the leading private hospital in Mexico, where she is heading plans to introduce new programs for pregnancy and early childhood care in the hospital's community outreach clinics. In her work as a certified ontological coach she is exploring techniques to strengthen the effectiveness of community health promoters. She is a British citizen with Mexican residency. She has a BA in economics and french from Reading University, and in 2010 she was awarded the MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for community service.
