James Rubin served under President Clinton as assistant secretary of State for Public Affairs and chief spokesman for the State Department. He was also a top policy advisor to Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright and acted as special negotiator during the Kosovo war to secure the demobilization of the Kosovo Liberation Army. From 2000 to December 2008, Mr. Rubin worked in London as a broadcaster, professor, commentator and financial communications strategist. Mr. Rubin was a visiting professor of international relations at the London School of Economics, a partner in the Brunswick Group a financial advisory firm, and the host of the PBS series Wide Angle, a primetime, and weekly international affairs program. He was international news anchor and world affairs commentator for SKY news. Mr. Rubin was adjunct professor of international affairs at Columbia Universitys School of International and Public Affairs and served as executive editor of Bloomberg View.
