All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." A famous quote from Walt Disney, which I included in my application to study at university. It must have worked, as I landed myself a place on the BA Honours Multimedia Journalism course at Bournemouth University, and now find myself using it as the motto for my career aspirations.
I was born in Carshalton in Surrey, just outside of South London before moving to Hampshire when I was 6 years old, where I still live now. I am also a descendant of Romany Gypsy travellers on my Dad's side of the family.
I would call myself an environmentalist, and these interests transfer to my journalism, where it is viewed as my 'niche' by many of my peers!
I hope to work across several media platforms; radio, television, online and print, during my future career.
I would one day love to work for The Guardian, in particular as a correspondent for their online Environmental section where they produce fantastic multimedia content.
In addition, I am hoping for the chance to travel as much as possible and that's why I'm extremely excited to be here in Salzburg, working alongside other students from all over the world.
