EmÃlia Paiva is the executive vice-president of the Strategic Priorities Office of the Minas Gerais State Government, in Brazil. Her work at the Strategic Office includes managing projects in education, public safety and economic development and tracking performance indicators in strategic areas. She formerly worked as a public entrepreneur at the Minas Gerais Government, implementing projects in education and social development. She graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and holds an M.A. in city planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
