Strengthening Independent Media
 
Just Released! The new Strengthening Independent Media website!

The Salzburg Global Seminar is currently building and testing a fully revised website for the SIM project, which was launched Monday, October 5 in time for the 2009 meetings. The website will allow donors and media development specialists that are not in Salzburg in person to follow the daily conversations, ideas, and proposals, and to post their own thoughts on the most pressing questions and issues that arise.

GFMD World Conference - December 7-10, Athens, Greece

The second Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD) World Conference took place in Athens, Greece from December 7-10, 2008. The first GFMD World Conference, held three years ago in Amman, Jordan attracted more than 500 media development NGOs from 97 countries. Since then, a steering committee has operated on behalf of its members and a permanent secretariat has been established in Brussels.
