Salzburg Global Finance Forum at the World Capital Markets Symposium

Overview

Salzburg Global Seminar and Securities Commission Malaysia are convening an evening discussion of the annual Salzburg Forum on Finance in a Changing World and its 2018 program The Promise and Perils of Technology: Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cybercrime, and FinTech. The meeting will take place at the Hotel Mandarin Oriental in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

The annual off-the-record Forum convenes public and private sector thought leaders who are committed to financial stability and global economic growth for a forward-looking two-day gathering each June in Salzburg, Austria. The program will consider how radical technology-driven changes may impact societies, economies and financial markets around the world, what this means for policy, regulation and practitioners in the short and longer term and how we can channel the powerful forces of technology in a positive way. The Forum has a 7-year solid track record with expanding global reach. We are hosting this discussion in Kuala Lumpur to engage views and perspectives from the Asia-Pacific Region on how technology is changing the financial services industry and the role the finance sector will play in a rapidly changing digital future.
