Description:
The 2010-2011 Winter Festival will ring in the New Year in style! The program gives Salzburg Global Fellows and friends of the Seminar a wonderful winter holiday while also providing intellectual stimulus for those who want it - in the tradition of the Salzburg Global Seminar.
So, if you're interested in some world-class skiing and snowboarding (or relaxing in a thermal bath surrounded by an alpine panorama), cruising through snowy woods in a horse-drawn carriage, classical concerts in a variety of venues around town, late night conversations around the fire in the Great Hall, and a grand New Years Eve ball to start off 2011 in a way you'll never forget, why not come and join us? Bring your friends, family and children so that they can enjoy the wonderful spirit of Salzburg in a host of fun ways.
A full program including prices is in planning and will be available soon. For general enquiries about the Winter Festival, please contact Ian Brown at ibrown(at)salzburgglobal.org. Highlights include: - New Years Eve ball in Schloss Leopoldskron
- Trip to Gastein for world-class skiing, shopping, or health spa
- Horse-drawn sleigh ride through the wintery Austrian Alps
- Excursion to Bavaria's fjord-like Lake Königsee and nearby Salt Mines
- Guided Tour of historic Salzburg
Past festival participants have said: This may be the best European trip I have ever made. The facilities are elegant, the food exceptional and the service excellent. The group was wonderful and the program fulfilling. I would not change anything. It was a perfect mix of education, culture and fun. The best, treated royally, The Schloss Leopoldskron is at the top of my list for places to stay.
