Kristina Vér Foley

Managing Director, US Office

Kristina Vér Foley joined Salzburg Global Seminar as managing director, US office in 2023. She leads our Washington, DC Office and elevates our profile in the United States, representing Salzburg Global Seminar with key donors and stakeholders and serving as a bridge between our Washington, DC and Salzburg-based operations. Previously, Kristina served the National Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) Association for Children as chief communications officer. From 2017-2021, she was SOS Kinderdorf International's chief of staff and international director of communications and brand, overseeing a portfolio that included global partnerships, external engagement, member relations and governance across 138 countries. In prior roles, she led development and communications for BUILD.org and The American University of Paris and raised major gifts for Central European University and Harvard University. Early in her career, Kristina produced international news, documentary films and experiential videos for networks including CNN, National Geographic and PBS, and clients ranging from Oprah to NATO. She holds a B.A. from Harvard University in French and German history and literature and completed her graduate studies as a DAAD/Fulbright Scholar in television news and documentary film at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film in Munich, Germany.
